Thursday
While exploring Crolles we had found a Karting track tucked away out of view. Judy and I thought this may be a good introduction to driving for Angus as he is always telling us how good he will be behind the wheel; we can blame playstation and Gran Tourismo for that. After a very relaxed morning we went back to the track where Angus and Andrew pulled on helmets, received instructions and powered out onto the track. After the checkered flag came out and the helmets removed the boys were very excited with Angus stunned at what happens when you spin off the track at speed. They decided another session was in order with Andrew setting his sights on the track record for his weight in the hire karts. Alas, no records were broken even though he was sure another 3 or 4 sessions would help and Angus feeling that he could go a few more sessions also. At this point common sense prevailed and we went home to talk about our exploits rather than leaving Judy and Harrison sitting by the side of the track for the rest of the day. Of course now that Angus has had a taste of karting he can’t wait for the next opportunity
