Meeting Luc and Myriam

Today was a nervous day for us as it would be our first physical meeting with Luc and Myriam. Shortly before they were due home we decided to take the boys to the bakery for a previously promised treat and for us to have a cuppa. We thought this would give Luc and Myriam a chance to enter their home and settle a little without the added pressure of visitors in the house when they arrived. When we arrived back at the house we were greeted very excitedly and warmly by our new friends. The rest of the day was a blur of chatter and stories while we all came to know each other well into the evening. We don’t know how they managed to stay awake so long after the long flight but we were happy they did.
