Friday
Well actually a Renault Kangoo which we have leased for the remainder of our time in France and Italy. This required an enormous amount of Frenglish to be spoken at the train station and for the tickets to be exchanged at least once but we finally sorted out trains to Leon where the car needed to be picked up. A lazy suburban train to Grenoble was followed by the TGV to Leon airport (St Exupery) and finally a shuttle to the depot. Andrew was enjoying this little excursion while Judy was still back in Crolles doing the hard work around the house and making sure that the boys were getting their school work done. The drive home was straight forward although Andrew was a bit embarrassed by the troll like looks of the new acquisition and the snail pace acceleration of the little diesel. He’s missing the V8 now. Back at home the decision was made to give the car its first family run so off to Vizille for Revolution Museum MKII visit. Staying until quite late, we enjoyed the educational walk through the Chateau examining all of the exhibits and again exploring the grounds of this fabulous public space.
